BBC Motion Gallery, the clip sales arm of BBC Worldwide, has signed a deal to represent the video archive of youth charity The Princes Trust.
Under the deal, BBC Motion Gallery will be able to license clip content from Prince’s Trust events such as Party in the Park and Fashion Rocks including unique content such as performances by Robbie Williams, Beyonce and Sting.

The deal includes some rarely seen before content from key Prince’s Trust events over the last 25 years – including performances by Elton John, Mariah Carey and Jay-Z - as well as an appearance by Nelson Mandela.

The addition of The Prince’s Trust video archive to the Motion Gallery content portfolio further broadens the already diverse range of video assets the company has available to license. As well as tens of thousands of hours of BBC sourced content, the company already offers clips from sources such as China Central TV, CBS News, NHK in Japan, ABC in Australia and The Commonwealth Games Federation.

Paul Maidment, Business Development Director, BBC Motion Gallery, said: “The Prince’s Trust archive is truly unique. Their set piece events have featured some of the biggest names in the world of music and fashion and other parts of the archive feature content that couldn’t be accessed anywhere else. This is a great opportunity for us to offer our clients some really powerful clip content, but it's also a great way for the Trust itself to generate some additional revenues to help fund their huge range of charitable projects.”

Paul Brown, Director of Marketing and Communications, Princes Trust, said: “Our previous events have featured performances and appearances that you’ll never see anywhere else and that’s a unique commercial opportunity. By working with an organisation with the experience and global contacts that Motion Gallery can offer we can raise vital funds to change young lives.”

As well as being available through the online service, www.bbcmotiongallery.com, all the new content will be available via BBC Motion Gallery's UK and international offices.
