An Exhibition of Dan Wynn Fashion Images from the 50's and 60's starts today, 17th July for a month, at the Farmani Gallery, New York.

Never Before Seen Fashion Images by the Late Dan Wynn Opens Thursday, July 17 at Farmani Gallery, New York.

Newly discovered images from Dan Wynn's career as a top commercial photographer will be on display for the first time. Dan Wynn spent his career photographing celebrities, chefs, entertainers and musicians during the 1950's and 1960's. His career spanned 45 years and his work can be seen in virtually every prestigious magazine during that time.

This newly created exhibit will be the first in a series profiling Dan Wynn's illustrious career. This display focuses on his work in fashion and images of Suzy Parker, Jane Fonda and others in the early days of their careers can be seen. Classic images from 1950 and 1960's advertising campaigns shown in Esquire, McCall's, Seventeen and others can also be viewed.

Dan Wynn's career began when he moved to New York in 1947 and got his editorial start at Seventeen Magazine where he quickly became successful shooting fashion. He went on to shoot major accounts for top advertising agencies including Revlon (with the legendary Kay Daly) and memorable campaigns for clients as diverse as International Paper, Van Raalte and Maidenform's famous, "I dreamed I was...in my Maidenform bra."

His well-known covers appeared on record albums and international magazines and books. His innovative photography was recognized with numerous awards from The New York Art Directors Club, Communication Arts and the American Institute of Graphic Arts, and in 1976 his photographs were included in The Family Of Man Exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Dan Wynn's photography has been acquired by the National Portrait Gallery for their permanent collection and has been seen in New York City at the Bonni Benrubi Gallery among others, as well as the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Dan Wynn's exhibit will be on display at the Farmani Gallery from July 17 - August 17, 2008.
