The Picture Archive Council of America (PACA) and New York City's world-famous Financial District will host the The 13th Annual PACA International Conference from 24 - 26 October, 2008 at the New York Marriott Downtown, which is located just four blocks from Wall Street.

The Keynote Address will be delivered by renowned author, consultant and speaker Jim Carroll. He brings a well-deserved reputation for cutting edge insight into economic trends, rapid market and industry change and consumer branding issues. Carroll alerts businesses of trends that will affect their industry and challenges them to uncover strategies for survival in a constantly changing global economic landscape.
Coping with an uncertain economy is just one reason colleagues from around the world will converge on New York City. Networking opportunities and informational sessions that explore important issues facing their businesses today will abound throughout the conference.
The 2008 program includes the popular art buyers' panel, a discussion on distributor relations and current technological trends. There will be an update on the U.S. Orphan Works legislation that includes a presentation from Sylvie Fodor, CEPIC Administrator, regarding the European Union's view on Orphan Works. In addition, a very special event will be held to honor Jane Kinne, an industry pioneer who passed away in November.
