After a hectic week of negotiations, the future of London Features International (LFI) as a photo agency is secure.

Following smaller specialist acquisitions including the intimately unique Royal Collection of John Shelley, Imvest ltd, the investment vehicle of David Jacobs has acquired the assets of London Features International (LFI).

Remarking on the recent investment David says, "I am pleased we were ultimately successful, albeit at the eleventh hour, in securing the future of LFI despite considerable competition from media and picture specialist businesses.....

Imvest Ltd Acquires Assets of London Features International

Friday 8th August: Following smaller specialist acquisitions including the intimately unique Royal Collection of John Shelley, Imvest ltd, the investment vehicle of David Jacobs has acquired the assets of London Features International (LFI).  

LFI has been a market leading music, celebrity and entertainment photo agency for nearly half a century and, despite the current competitive marketplace, retains a strong brand reputation.

Imvest Ltd was established in 2008 by David Jacobs, an award-winning sports photographer who also set up one of the world’s most successful sports picture agencies, Action Images, which was later bought by Reuters.

Remarking on the recent investment David says, "I am pleased we were ultimately successful, albeit at the eleventh hour, in securing the future of LFI despite considerable competition from media and picture specialist businesses.  We plan to appoint a number of well regarded industry specialists to build on the undoubted success and reputation of LFI; a credit to those who have been involved with the business to date.  This is a fresh start for an image library that has always made magnificent images available to picture editors around the globe and a real opportunity to set the business apart from its competition."
