UK: Dennis Publishing has announced its partnership with the UK's foremost children's food expert and author Annabel Karmel, for its latest series of high-end 'bookazines'.

The seasonal 160-page bookazine series, beginning with 'The Annabel Karmel Family Cookbook - Winter & Christmas Edition 2008', will showcase over 80 of the food guru's favourite recipes for the coming months.

The bookazine series will have a newsstand price of £7.99 and the initial print-run of 100,000 will be available in high traffic newsstands in Marks and Spencer, Boots, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, WH Smith, Borders, and Amazon.co.uk.

This series from Dennis Publishing marks the first opportunity for brands to advertise alongside Annabel Karmel content in print and the Dennis team will be working with brands from the food, baby and parenting sectors to ensure the bookazine is used in the most creative and engaging way.

The bookazine is aimed at parents - whether they have new-borns or 11-year olds - who wish to make the process of cooking a healthy, fun and engaging activity for their children. There are also a variety of delicious recipes for the whole family to enjoy.

The Annabel Karmel Family Cookbook (Winter & Christmas edition), on sale 2nd October 2008, wil feature step-by-step winter recipe guides, which will be themed:'Back to School', 'Halloween', 'Bonfire Night' and 'Christmas' amongst others. The series will also include competitions, family games and activities. Spring and Summer editions will follow in 2009.

Annabel Karmel has written a highly successful range of children's nutrition books and her hugely popular and unique food-product range is stocked in many of the largest supermarkets in the UK. The food range is also served in all the major UK theme parks including Thope Park, Alton Towers, Chessington World of Adventure, Haven Holidays and Asquith (the leading chain of nurseries).

Annabel writes regularly for national newspapers and magazines and appears frequently on radio and television as the UK's top expert on children's nutritional issues.

Annabel's online presence is also strong, with the number one website on children's nutrition www.annabelkarmel.com and an online TV channel annabelkarmel.tv. Annabel was awarded an MBE in 2006 for her services to child nutrition.

Martin Belson, Newstrade Director at Dennis Publishing, said: "We are thrilled to be announcing this new series of titles in conjunction with such a strong, high-end brand and personaiity. The unique and creative opportunities these bookazines offer advertisers will be an extremely exciting prospect for any brand wanting to talk to parents as Annabel is such a well trusted and recognised personality within the 'new parent' community."

Annabel Karmel said: "It has always been my dream to produce a magazine dedicated to children and food. With over 80 recipes for all occasions from favourite baby purees, meals to tempt a fussy eater and inspiration for lunchboxes to everything you need for a Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas to remember, this one will be one Winter to remember. I have created many new delicious recipes to ensure that parents will never be stuck for ideas on what to make for their child or family. Beautifully photographed, this is more than a bookazine, it is a way to bring joy and smiles into your child's life and bring the family together during the cold winder days."
