New MD at the Mirror

UK: Trinity Mirror has announced the appointment of Mark Hollinshead as Managing Director of its Nationals Division with immediate effect.

Mark’s new role combines his previous position as Managing Director, Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail, with that of Managing Director, UK Nationals
The role brings together for the first time all five of Trinity Mirror’s National newspapers and related portfolio of digital products under one managing director.

Further announcements on the new organisational management structure will be made in the next few days.
Richard Webb, currently Managing Director, UK Nationals will be leaving the organisation.
Sly Bailey Chief Executive said: “The new role will enable our National newspapers’ to fully embrace the changing media landscape. Bringing together the power of these great brands is in the best interest of our business and our customers.
“Richard has done a tremendous job to further the success of the UK Nationals during his time with the Group and he leaves with my thanks and best wishes for the future.”
