The British Museum attracts over six million visitors a year and is one of the world’s greatest museums.
The commercial image licensing division of the museum, The British Museum Images, has a vacancy for a Marketing Executive who will help develop, implement and monitor marketing plans for all British Museum Images marketing initiatives.
Reporting to the Head of British Museum Images, potential candidates will need to demonstrate great awareness of the market place and social media platforms, strong planning and organisational skills, team work and the ability to produce creative marketing material such as adverts, brochures and portfolios within demanding deadlines. In addition, the successful candidate needs to demonstrate a strong creative flair to identify new content trends and work closely with the collections manager to prioritise relevant content for the website and marketing communication material.
Applicants should also have:
1. Previous experience of working in a Marketing environment
2. Excellent creative writing and editing skills
3. Strong communication skills
4. Ability to plan effectively and work to tight deadlines
